Nyati Resources Project

Our project is located within the Lake Victoria Goldfield – An established mining region with several multi-billion-ounce Gold deposits.
The Nyati Resources project is our highest exploration priority, and is located directly northwest of and adjacent to Barrick’s Bulyanhulu Gold Mine, in the Sukuma land Greenstone belt that hosts the gold deposits of the LakeVictoria Goldfields. The inner arc of this greenstone belt is host to the Bulyanhulu Mine of Barrick Gold, the Buck Reef Mine of Tanzania Gold Corporation and Tuluwaka Gold Mine, formerly a Barrick operation. The Nyati Project consists of one prospecting licence covering an area of ~32sq.km.

  • Prior exploration data acquired over a period of more than ten years has recently been re-processed; and reinterpreted to identify and prioritize compelling targets warranting further focused follow-up including drilling, and required follow-up drilling to develop resources on existing drill targets. The gold mineralization at the Bulyanhulu Mine is known to extend to a depth of at least 2,000 metres and occurs within quartz veins and sulphides associated with argillite horizons at the contact between mafic and folic volcanic. This stratigraphic package and the structures associated with the Gold mineralization are projected to continue along strike for up to 11km northwest across the Nyati resources project confirmed by the initial interpretation of the airborne magnetic data.

More Details on Nyati Projects

Nyati has been using alternative geochemical exploration techniques to obtain a sample the is more likely to consistently reflect the underlying bedrock. The geological interpretation is also based on data from the reconnaissance program of soil sampling and regolith mapping carried out by our team in 2003 and 2004. All samples from these programs were submitted for gold and ICP analyses. The results have indicated multiple gold anomalies on lines 800m apart including one on six lines over a strike length of at least 2,800m and a width of up to 700m. The sampling suggests that much of this area is underlain by greenstone rocks and it will be a high priority for closer-spaced follow-up sampling in 2004 together with the other significant anomalies. The 2003 to 2004 work and reinterpretation has shown that much of the area to the west and northwest of the Nyati deposit including six of the seven properties in which Nyati has an interest, is probably underlain by highly prospective greenstone rocks similar to those known to host gold mineralization elsewhere in the Lake Victoria Goldfields. The Seventh property is lying between the Geita and Rwamagaza greenstone belts full of granite. Anomalous gold values were obtained in the soil samples taken there by Nyati in 2003.
